Help On Using The Editor

Below you will see the main Jumpman - Under Construction Editor Screen. Click on the various window elements (ie. Buttons, Menus, Etc..) to read detailed help for that object / menu.

Property Editor Panel

The Property Dialog Editor window allows you to change property's of the currently active object. Each Dialog is unique for each object type. When you click on an object on the Level (via the Selection Tool) then it's property sheet will be displayed in this window allowing you to edit the various attribute..

To Edit a particular property just click on the Button, List Box, Check Box etc.. as you would when using any other windows program.

More information can be found about each objects properties by clicking on the Object's button on the top of the screen.

 

Status Bar

The Status Bar provides information to the user such as progress when loading a game file or the current cursor position.

The Bar has 3 separate sections though not all of them are available (visible) at all times..

The Left Most Section, shows the Grid location of the cursor aswell as the Zoom Level.

The Second Section is displays the X and Y location (grid coordinates) of the currently selected object. If there is no object selected then it is blank.

The Last section contains the progress bar which is only displayed while a game is loaded from Disk or when you create a New game via the File menu (link).
