The Donor Car..

1973 LeyLand Mini (Clubman Sport)
1100cc

I bought it as a failed project but the guy had
already spent quite a bit of money on it and the
running gear is in very good condition.

She is unlicensed but has a brand new engine (recon),
extractors, gear box, new carpets inside, sport seats,
a new roof lining and rear seats.

He also had a full set of new rubbers for all windows.

I bought her for an extremely cheap price. For what
she came with, it was a bit of a no brainer.

The Engine has been reconditioned and sounds
nice.. no lumps in that one.

It came with a home made manifold which
needs to be replaced
(hopefully with a Twin SU Cooper setup)

The engine bay is a horrible baby blue
(well the entire car is) but I plan to
slowly strip her down and paint
her a proper mini red with a white roof.

The engine bay will eventually be black.

The wiper motor and master cylinder assembly
have also been painted (yuck) so I've
got a bit of work there.

The Usual rusty boot but its not the worst
I've seen.. I've already purchased
a new battery box and we plan to cut out
the entire floor and weld in a flat floor with
the recess for the battery then tar it all over.

Its missing the rear beaver but I've already
purchased a brand new replacement on ebay
aswell as other parts. I recommend
checking out minisport1274 (link)
for some good mini stuff.

The Front Left A Pillar needs a LOT of TLC
as you can see. The floor pan is actually quite
clean and in very good condition.

The interior is in reasonable condition
(well new back seats, carpets and sport seats)
but the dash is a bit of a shocker.

It even came with a prancing horse steering
wheel (what do people think).

Still have to figure out what to do with the
dash but that's last on the list.

On the whole, the car isn't in too bad
condition and has some nice stuff already
done to it which made it a good buy.

of course, I now have to rip it all out again.
