The man himself John Monnett the creator of the Sonex and founder of the Sonex company with his wife Betty. They visited Australia from Oshkosh in Wisconsin and took time out of their busy schedule to have lunch with a group of Australian builders.Second photo is John and Lynne Jarvis who built the first Sonex in Australia featured at the bottom of this page. Far right is the finished article with my valuable helper.

The Plans and the in-workshop entertainment.

I built the power supply about 10 years ago and have not quite finished it. It is a 13.8v 10 amp continuous supply.

The transceiver is a Yaesu FT-817 UHF, VHF and HF plus a general coverage receiver.

To the right is a Microair air band transceiver which will be going in the Sonex , So might the Yaesu I have not decided yet.

OziExplorer running on a HP 5550 and a Garman GPS 10 Bluetooth Receiver.
