Raging Pixel Productions, a Perth-based animation studio, has been gathering momentum for the past two years. Raging Pixel's lead creative artists, Aaron Kennedy, Lisa Evans and Gareth Lockett, bring a diverse range of skills to any production. We have extensive experience and knowledge of some of the leading software packages used in the production of 3D animation and motion graphics. We also bring a wide range of complimentary skills which include an in depth knowledge of Physics, Commercial Photography, and an understanding of scripting for 3D animation.

The studio has developed a comprehensive network of industry professionals who include producers, directors, writers, and some of Perth's hottest creative specialists in the field of new media. In its two years of operation, the studio has been dedicated to the development of the 3D animation and new media industry in Western Australia. We have successfully catered to a broad cross-section of both commercial and government sectors. Some of our clients have included mining companies, TV networks, government departments, production companies and advertising companies.

Company Profile:

Aaron Kennedy completed the Diploma of Applied Science in Photography at Mt Lawley Tafe in 1998. He then worked in the photography industry until 2000 where he completed a Traineeships in Small Business through the Western Australian Department of Training and ran his own successful photography studio while completing the Certificate in Business skills through the NEIS scheme.
In 2000 Aaron decided to return to study to follow his dream of becoming a 3d animator. He attended Curtin University where he was subsequently awarded the BA in Multimedia Design (specialising in 3d animation).

After completing the BA in Multimedia design Aaron opened Raging Pixel Productions and also Participated in further training through the Center of Advanced Digital Screen Animation (CADSA)
Through Raging Pixel Productions Aaron has successfully produced a range of projects for the mining industry, television and corporate video.

Lisa Evans completed a Bsc (Hons1) in Physics specialising in Astrophysics at UNSW in 1997, then chose to pursue training in 3D animation instead of a career in academia. In 2000 she studied for a Certificate in 3D animation from the Australian Film, TV and Radio School, and continued to learn new skills through personal projects and online collaborations. She then went on to be an on slate project creator for a game prototype at the Centre for Advanced Digital Screen Animation (CADSA) in 2003 at the Film and TV Institute in Fremantle.

Professionally, Lisa's industry experience includes working as the Character Animator at Bungarra Software on a Playstation game, and she is currently the Lead Animator at Raging Pixel Productions. Her work there has spanned technical modeling and animation for mining presentations, TV network IDs, training videos, and other projects, as well as character animation. She is experienced in 3DS Max, Maya, Rhino, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Maxscript and a range of other applications. She has also taught 3DS Max at the FTI.

Gareth Lockett joins the Raging Pixel crew after three years of coordinating the Centre for Advanced Digital Screen Animation (CADSA) course and heading up the 3d animation department at the Film and Television Institute (FTI) in Fremantle.

Previously, Gareth completed animation and multimedia work for companies such as Channel 7, Discovery Channel Singapore, Batey Ads, Haliburton, The Australian Defense Department and ProInk Media.

In early 2003 Gareth won both the Best Animator and Best Animation awards at the 17th Annual WA Screen Awards (WASAs)
