Hunt posed
problems: police

A  big  police team moved into operation after the first
emergency call about a fatal shooting in Bull Creek was recorded
at 6.2lpm on Wednesday, April 20, last year.

The only evidence detectives from the major crime squad

and Brentwood CIB had was a bullet-riddled body - but within a
few days the two killers were arrested and in custody.

One  of  the  officers  leading  the  hunt,  Det-Sgt  Paul

Greenshaw  from  the  major  crime  squad,  said  yesterday  that
despite   the   relatively   early   successes,   it   was   a   difficult

investigation.

After sealing off the shopping centre, the first priority was
to identify the body.

There  were  not  any  clues  on  the  body  and  even  the
Triumph TR7 parked nearby was not useful because it had been
bought only recently by John Laing and was not yet registered in

his name.
