«Ils sont fous ces romains!»
3 months
April 3:

Well, hello again and Happy Spring to those of you up in the Northern Hemisphere. If you want to see what the weather is like over here, go to Mom's "weather-watch" page, you'll get to see how hot it is, or not.

It's been a while since the last update, so we will give you the lowdown on our weight. We were last weighed on March 8, that's about a month ago coming to think of it, and the score was: Cordelia 12 lbs 15 oz and Véronique 12 lbs 6 oz. But we're probably both over 13 lbs by now!

We started eating solid foods a bit more regularly, getting used to new tastes and textures, we will be 6 months in a little over a week and we need more

than breastmilk now. We also want Mom to be more mobile, breastfeeding twins can be quite time consuming.

Véronique is getting much better at crawling. She doesn't try to plow the carpet with her nose anymore. She used to push with her feet but forget to lift her head up with her arms, which resulted in a bit of a red nose and a very frustrated baby. Cordelia still loves holding on to her parents' hands and just stand up. She's also pretty good at climbing up her dad's chest when he's holding her in his arms. That's all pretty wonderful but she is absolutely hopeless when it comes to crawling. She'll stretch her arms as far as she can when she's lying on her tummy to reach a toy in front of her but she still hasn't clued in to try to "climb horizontally". She'll learn,

eventually, then she'll be a crawling all over the place. We can now sit for a few seconds before we flop over. We never knew there were so many muscles we needed to work out to be like grown-ups.

Cordelia seems to think that whichever toy Véronique is playing with is better than her own; if Véronique is within reach, Cordelia usually manages to steal her toy, not without a bit of a struggle!

Mom is now taking us for daily pram rides. For those of you who aren't familiar with all the Aussie-isms, a pram is a stroller. We should also mention that diapers are called nappies, and Moms are called Mums; we don't much care what they are called as long as they do the job (the Mums and the nappies)! Whenever we go on rides we keep admiring the flora,

at least Mom does. There are some huge palm trees and lots of beautiful rose bushes on people's lawn. Some palm trees have a trunk about three or four feet in diameter, no kidding, it is quite impressive, even for our Australian Dad. The neighbour across the street has "Birds of Paradise" on her front lawn, the next door neighbour is now picking olives from two gigantic trees on his property

and we have a lemon tree and an orange tree in our yard. Pretty cool, huh? At least we reckon the Canadian Folks will think it's special.

We haven't started teething, we're saving it for when Mom and Dad are convinced we are sleeping through the night, which we don't quite do yet.

Well, it's time to say goodbye for today. Thanks again for visiting, hope you enjoy the new pictures even if they are over a month old. We told Mom she should get rolls of film of 12 exposures instead of 24, that way we'd have more recent pictures for you.
