Commissions: Other Work

Occasionally unusual commissions will arise - the design of a CD cover, bookplates, family presentations, an aged map for an advertising company, family trees. If it has text, it can be calligraphed!

The last three photos in the gallery are of an installation at the Ballajura Memorial Peace Park. I was commissioned to hand letter the well known poem by Lawrence Binyon, beloved of Anzac Day services "Age shall not weary them". My original calligraphy was scanned, computer etched into metal and then treated with an oxidising patina. It was then incorporated into 8 large rammed earth panels, featuring coloured samples of earth from around the state.
