Gallery: Illustrated

An excuse to explore anything and everything that appeals to me, these works are inspired by the text but the visuals take precedence. I have always enjoyed illustrating my calligraphy, with watercolour, gouache, pencil, pen and ink.

Ever drawn to the Arthurian and medieval, a number of subjects clamour for my attention. Chivalric romance is always a favourite, as is tragic maidens and noble quests, as espoused by Tennyson, Keats etc. Xena was just begging to be a calligraphic piece!
