Warmongers

Little is known about this Chapter other than that it adheres strictly to the Codex Astartes, the colour scheme and markings are from Insignium Astartes.

Warmongers Assault Marine

The first quartered Marines I ever painted, blue & green make an odd, but striking, combination for these fellas I find. The Assault Marine is still one of my favourite pieces...really must finish the Warmongers Dreadnought I started 12+ months ago...

Painting Recipe

Blue

Ultramarines Blue over black undercoat. 2-3 thin layers for a nice smooth colour.

First 3 layered highlights are a mix of UM/Enchanted Blue approximately 75/25, 50/50 and 25/75.

Second set of highlights adds small amounts of Ice Blue to the final mix of UM/Enchanted blue, gradually working up to somewhere around 50/50 EB/Ice Blue.

Green

Goblin Green basecoat over black undercoat. This took a lot of coats to cover properly, somewhere around 5 on average.

The highlights are a Goblin Green/Scorpion Green mix. 4 layers 80/20, 60/40, 40/60 and 20/80. A final touch of straight Scorpion Green on the highpoints finishes him off.
