Why blog?

More slacking off

Why blog?

Dunno.

I read an interesting article on writing a successful blog. Some people use it as an online journal (which is fascinating in itself, even if they're not pro writers) and others use it as a professional development tool, sort of a self-syndicated, self-hosted column. (mmm... column... [drool]).

Me? I just wanna whine.

More slacking off

This month goes to show you how slack I am at maintaining a blog. There's only one entry for the months, and this is it.

More evidence of my being a slacker is the fact that it's taken several months before I've loaded up my web pages to their new home. I offer no excuse for not blogging other than I am not in the habit.

One thing I did do this month was participate in a crit marathon on the Online Writing Workshop. The marathon ran for twenty-one days. I'm proud to say I made my goal of an average of one crit per day.

I'm so glad I'm on this workshop. It's been wonderful for my professional development.

This week we've been hit with a stomach flu that made everyone feel ill. I noticed it made me feel exactly like being pregnant... it was enough to make me swear off pregnancy for another long while.

I've sold a few more articles to Oki Nirmala. I also sold one to Alien Skin magazine, entitled "Mrs Brown's Excellent Scones".

I love writing and I love selling my writing. It's such a rush! I've got a few more short stories I need to polish, then off they go. In need to draft some more pitches for non-fiction articles.
