Woo Hoos and Alasogram
I scored two Woo Hoos (one of them a triple) and one Alasogram.
The first Woo Hoo was to IROSF (The Online Review of Science Fiction) and the second
to an Indonesian children's magazine, Oki Nirmala, when they purchased three (!) articles from me on
computer games. I'm quite happy about that.
My one alasogram was from SCIFI.COM when they decided they didn't want to
buy my story "Life Insurance". That's why I've been thinking about turning it into a screenplay.
Now I need to come up with some nice queries to pitch to other magazines, not to mention pitching more to these who have already bought my articles.

More on "Tinfoil Hats"
So I sat down and worked out my story "Tinfoil Hats" into a screenplay. I'm going to send it to Two Twisted
for their consideration. I had to change the premise of the story somewhat, since the original incarnation wouldn't have translated well to the screen.
Instead of my heroine Harmony being telepathic, she can pick up radio signals. I've got one more thing to wrap up, then I'll be ready to send it to Bryan Brown.
I've got another screenplay in mind for Two Twisted, but haven't quite nobbled everything out yet. I really should send off "Tinfoil Hats" first, and then if I get around
to finishing "Love Square", I can send that along later.
I've been idly toying with the idea of turning "Life Insurance" into a screenplay. It'd work rather well as one. I'll have to do my research. I'd hate to have to crank out
a full-length then go cold-calling. At least the Aussie film scene is more open to projects such as these.
If only I had the money to produce.

So I'm slack.
At the end of February iVillage, previously my webhoster, discontinued their webpages. Shame, really. I enjoyed
being able to have free webhosting. Shame for iVillage as well. For the price of free webhosting, they got some pretty
good content, not only from me, but from countless others.
They did the same thing to their webmail service a couple of years ago. I can understand ditching webmail, but webhosting? sigh
Anyhow, back to my slackness.
For the past week I have completely failed to upload these pages to my native webserver, iinet. I've got tons of web space, but I
have been way too slack to bother installing an ftp client and uploading the suckers.
On the other hand, I have taken the time to upgrade my web pages. Others have been retired--pages that haven't seen the light of day in years.
Another piece of good news: I have been writing more. But that's another entry.
