This is how far I am today
I might get the novel finished today. We'll see. I'm taking their Ladyships Trick or Treating early this evening, so if I'm not totally wasted, I might get this novel finished before NaNoWriMo.
Last Friday night a whole bunch of my writerly mates participated in NaDruWriNi (National Drunken Writing Night). Since it was Saturday morning for me already and I don't drink, I couldn't participate. It was fun to watch them all get progressively sloshed, even if I was observing over chat. To quote one of them, "I love you, man!"

NaNoWriMo is coming up!
Are you ready? I am. I'm soooo close to finishing Of The Dark, so I'll be just right to start the second novel entitled [SPOILER] Of the Dark
10 October 2005
I am soooo sick. I have the worst chest cold. Codeine is my friend.

Novel progress and web page maintenance
This is how far I was as of yesterday. Today I've already exceeded that total by a least a thousand words.
Her Grace's Instructions to the Staff
To the Housekeeper:
His Grace isn't feeling well today and has called off his duties. Please delay cleaning the bedchamber until after he's risen. Please advise the cook that I am continuing my diet and to make sure that salad is served at lunch, although their Ladyships may
have sandwiches should they so choose. Today, I believe, is mopping day, so I shall advise the nanny to remove their Ladyships from the house in the afternoon.
To the Butler:
Please inform His Grace's Valet that I wish to remain appraised of His Grace's state of health today and please do not hesitate to offer His Grace mild analgesics and plenty of water whenever he sees fit to bestir his graceful self.
Please advise the gardener that the lawns, while needing mowing, may be ignored for one more day. Please liaise with the housekeeper as to dinner arrangements pending His Grace's health.
To the Nanny:
Please keep their Ladyships entertained and towards quietude for the benefit of His Grace's health and my sanity. Be sure they get plenty of exercise outside, especially in the afternoon as it is Mopping Day. Also, please continue your efforts
towards Lady Frances' toilet training and please, please, please keep some clothes on them despite the warm weather. The housekeeper informs me that the laundresses are complaining about the extra work.
To my Lady's Maid
As I am feeling delicate myself, please choose a comfortable afternoon dress and something suitable for the evening.

Mar 27, 2005 Introducing more pages.
I've introduced new Music Pages to display my music. I've got a few MIDI files and other goodies you can download for free! I've also got the complete text for
my Roadshow musical, "Susie, Clean Your Room". You're welcome to download it in all or in part and use it for performance purposes on the condition that you pay me
a royalty in the form of chocolate. (This is called the Chocolate Copyright.)
