The Western Australian Scale Model Expo is the largest event of its kind in this state. Incorporating the WA Scale Modeling Championships, the Expo features a public model competition, displays by local Hobby clubs and individual Modelling enthusiasts, a swap-and-sell is held and retail stands by major hobby shops and specialist retailers, plus more. Here you will see two floors of outstanding scale model creations and display pieces as built by some of the most talented plastic's modelers in the state. Hundreds of model aeroplanes, tanks, cars, ships, figures, science fiction subjects and just about anything else you can think of will be on display. It is a non-profit event run purely in the interests of furthering the hobby of scale modeling.
This years Wasmex was held and it was a very successful show with many winners coming from our club. But it was a close contest for the best club display with the winner going to WA scale molders, Congratulation to them. We all look forward to next year and the hope that it will be bigger and better. As well I and the committee would like to thank the many people who too the time to man the stand and to help with the setting up and the pack up of the Clubs stand as without the members it would have been impossible to do. But we can use more help from the member to help out as it is a good way to attract more members for our club and to show case the Friendly nature of our Club.
