Installation notes

These scripts simply enable the key press of control shift and M to minimize just about any application to the tray.
However you must have power menu installed and in the tray.
Download power menu here

So you can just press control shift  and m to minimize just about any app to the tray.
I have found this doesn't work with microsoft word. So you will need to change the keystroke.

How to install them

To install the scripts download them from
Here.
Then do the following

  1. extract the scripts to your jaws settings directory

  2. This is usually something like
    "C:\documents and settings\user name\application data\freedom scientific\jaws\xxx\settings\enu"
Where xxx is your version of jaws.
Or if you are using an older version of jaws it is
    "C:\Jaws xxx\settings\enu"
Again where xxx is your version of jaws.
  3. Then open the script manager by pressing insert +f2 then S followed by enter
  4. Then open the default.jss file by pressing control +shift +D
  5. Then press control home to go to the top of the file and type the following line in with quotes and all

  6. use "powermenu.jsb"
  7. Press enter after the last " on the use "powermenu.jsb" line so this is on a separate line
  8. finally compile the jss file by pressing control s
  9. now open your jaws shared settings folder and locate the default.jkm file and open it in notepad or wordpad.
  10. Find the line "Windows+C=AppendSelectedTextToClipboard"and press home followed by enter and up arrow to your blank line
  11. now type the line

  12. Control+Shift+M=MinimizeToTray
  13. Now save the jkm file by pressing control s
  14. now your scripts should work

I hope the scripts come in useful.
