Senorita with Attitude
Three years ago I turned a dull little 3 by 9 meter courtyard into my Mexican hideaway of bright pinks, orange and mauve. To complete the garden I needed a sculpture, something appropriate like the Mexican jug ladies, big Momas with attitude, I’d seen in Mexico City.

I knew of Dee’s quirky, fun sculptures from the past, so I invited her to see the garden and talk about what she would do. Her solution was wonderful - the colours mixed and contrasted perfectly with the vibrancy of the whole garden. The Lady certainly was the star!

Not too long after she was completed I sold and moved house, to do yet another courtyard, this time a bold contemporary style in oranges and cornflower blue. For a year my lady lived inside quite happily until her new home was ready. This one was designed around featuring her!

I really love my ‘lady with attitude’ and she’s always commented on by our visitors. Dee was a delight to work with and even produced a scale model so I could see exactly how she would look.

Thank you Dee for many hours of enjoyment you have given us in our garden with our "lady with attitude."
