“Calleach is the outcome of a collaborative venture that began when I first saw examples of Dee’s work in a garden centre. The pieces weren’t for sale, they had been bought by the nursery as art works, but the owner could give me Dee’s name which I then traced through Perth’s art world.
Dee invited me to visit and discuss my vision which she translated into the much loved representation of Calleach, the crone aspect of the Great Goddess, that is a focal point of my garden.
Consultation continued through-out the creation of the piece and, to ensure optimal placement with no damage, Dee personally delivered and installed the sculpture. Calleach is one of the first things I see each morning, she adds to my feeling of being “home” and protected.”
