POINTSCORE RULES AS SET BY THE COMMITTEE ON 240599 (with ammendments):
1. The competition shall be open to financial members of the SBBC Inc. only
2. A dog may be entered in more than one class but only one class per show will be used for the allocation of points.
3. POINT SYSTEM: ADULT ( OVER 6 MONTHS: )
1st PLACE - 3 points
2nd PLACE - 2 points
3rd PLACE - 1 point
CHALLENGE - 3 points
RESERVE CHALLENGE - 2 points
BEST OF BREED - 2 points
R / U BEST OF BREED - 1 point
4. POINT SYSTEM - JUVENILE ( 3-18 MONTHS )
1st PLACE - 3 points
2nd PLACE - 2 points
3rd PLACE - 1 point
CHALLENGE - 3 points
RESERVE CHALLENGE - 2 points
BEST OF BREED - 2 points
R / U BEST OF BREED - 1 point
5. The final score for each dog will be determined from:
l. Adults determined by the best 8 scores of the 13 shows
ll. Juveniles determined by the best 8 shows of the 13 shows
6. Each pointscore year shall commence with the SBBC Inc. CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW and finish with the allocated pointscore show immediately preceeding the SBBC Inc. CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
7. The pointscores shows for any year shall remain unchanged unless changes are requested by the Point Score Officer and ratified by the members attending the March meeting immediately preceeding that year.
8. The entry fee for each dog shall be $5.00 and this must be paid before any points can be earned by the dog.
9. The pointscore administrator shall be appointed by the Committee at the AGM for the year. The appointee for the 2009/2010 competition is Mrs Kathy Reale.
10. Immediately following the last pointscore show for the year the administrator shall tally the points and present them to the SBBC Inc. Committee for ratification at the March meeting.
11. In the event of a tie in either the Adult or Juvenile Point Score Competition a count back system will be implemented as decided by the Committee and interested competitors attending the meeting following the confirmation of score tallies.
12. The ADULT and JUVENILE Perpetual Point Scores Trophies shall be awarded to the winning Saint Bernards at the April CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.
All Perpetual Trophies must be returned to the club before the 15th March each year. At the CH & Open Show (Specialities) for that year a Point Score memento trophy shall be issued to the previous years winners.
