A rapid visit to the
vast and varied country of India. I landed in Bombay and took
the train to Madras, but found both cities to be fascinating.
The relics of Empire in the form of imported architecure: classical
and moorish, give way in places to an evocation of more local
forms. Plenty for an architect to look at in detail.
