This is a collection of my DIY Audio endeavours which I hope will be of benefit to fellow DIYers...

22nd June 2008 - Have added a section on installing a set of HID lights into the STi on the home page, and in here have added a new page logging a current build on an Audio Note 2.1 DAC Kit. Is quite exciting - my first kit with valves in it... you know, those old fashioned shiny tubes that our grand parents used to sit around listening to the wireless with!

The Moonrise!


Bought and paid for!

DIY amp using a 50 Watt kit from Altronics.

The kit is based on a 1995 Silicon Chip Mag design.

Gainclone amp using PCB's available from Brian Bell on his ChipAmp site.

The amp uses the National Semiconductor LM3886 chip.

I found this unique little 2.1 sound system at a Retravision sale.

Yes, that's a real valve in there!

Shielded mini monitor, small and easy to drive. This is a fantastic budget speaker for mains or surround use. The TL6 is a Transmission line tower, simply the best for music AND movies! A fullrange 8' speaker from Fostex in Japan. These make for a top-quality point source system.
