And this is the usual blurb I am an inquisitive old fart and every thing I do is Trial and Error and Experimental and some of the things I do Can KILL
CRIPPLE AND/OR MAIM if you don't know what you are doing , or are careless or even worse stupid don't be insulted as we all do stupid thing from time to time but do something stupid here and as a wise man from the virgin islands once said a "band aid and mommy's kiss won't fix this type of damage" I try and collate as much info as I can before I do anything and practice as much safety as I can I also wear all the right safety clobber cos it just might save my eyes or my life and/or various other treasured parts of my anatomy. As I cannot control how anyone else works or what safety measures they practice or safety equipment they use I cannot be and will not be held responsible if anyone tries to emulate anything they see here on this website IN FACT I ADVISE EVERYONE NOT TO TRY TO DO ANYTHING THEY SEE HERE. If you do try anything you see you are on your own if you pour half a litre of molten alluminium down your boot or grab a bit of red hot steel or blow up your self and/or garage with a gas bottle you have my sympathy's but that's all my friend you take responsibilities for your own action. But that said I find these persuits extremely satisfying its interesting and while I'm doing this I'm not watching soapies and the wife leaves me alone and she keeps the cup's of coffee or tea coming with the odd Sandwich.
"She is the best thing that ever happened to me I kid you not"

I love melting alluminium brass bronze in my home made propane fired crucible furnace and perhaps one
day I'll try cast iron but for now I love casting various odd and sods to repair old equipment or remanufacture parts for or defunct machinery that you cannot buy parts for anymore or creating equipment or tools for my workshop or helping people who are trying to restore old motorcycles and cars. |

I also dabble at Blade making I cannot claim the lofty heights of Blade Smith nor do I. I'm
just starting out and to make thing harder I started out making a pattern welded Blades (commonly but incorrectly I believe called Damascus Blades) have a look round my website you may find it interesting if you have any queries there is an email link at the bottom of the first page drop me an email and I'll help if I have the knowledge if I don't the I may be able to point you in the right direction ok.
best rgds to all
