The Scaddan Ministry 7 Oct 1911 - 27 July 1917 was comprised of: John Scaddan, Thomas Bath, Philip Collier, Thomas Walker, William Johnson, John Drew, MLC, William Angwin, Jabez Dodd and Rufus Underwood.

The "Biographical Register of Members of Parliament" by David Black and Geoffrey Bolton was used to try to identify those photographed above. In my estimation, they are as follows:

From left of screen to right:
Standing: Jabez Dodd; John Drew; William Johnson; William Angwin; Rufus Underwood.
Seated: Thomas Bath; John Scadden; Maj Gen Sir Harry Barron, KCMG, CVO; Phillip Collier; Thomas Walker.

The Scaddan Government was in office from 7 Oct 1911 to 27 July 1916. A total of 4 years 9 months and 20 days. Scaddan resigned because he was defeated (ministerial by-election 21 Jul 1917). John Scaddan was one of a relatively small number of Members who were under 30 when first elected to the WA Parliament. Scaddan was elected in first 1904 and was aged 27 years 10 months and 20 days (1911). He was one of a handful to be the youngest Ministers of the Crown at 35 years 2 months and 3 days. He holds the distinction of being the youngest Premier of WA at 35 years 2 months and 3 days (1911), and the second youngest Leader of the Opposition aged 33 years 11 months and 25 days in 1910.
