Bare BowArchery

Get the Point!

Wing and myself have reaquainted ourselves with the fine art of Barebow archery. Wing did use a compound bow at first,
but after some research and a few rounds using my recurve, he liked the finesse and style of barebow archery.
For a wedding gift, I got him a Mongolian Horsebow. (No Mongolian horse, though. Maybe next year.).

Smirky little devil, ain't he?

Good form, good aim

Wing was center of attention with this slightly uncommon bow. A few of the other archers tried it out, and were amazed at the amount of handshock.
I shot it also, and it felt as if my wrist had been kicked by a mule
He also learned why I got tired quicker than he did when he was using his compound bow. After a few rounds using a Mongolian Recurve, he found
out just how tiring it was to hold the string back at full draw for aiming.

Some sweet shots done by me

This bow was supplied to us by a gentleman in Finland,
and made with care and expertise by an excellent bowyer in Hungary.

We contacted a gentleman via the internet, and he was most gracious in assisting in the selection of the right bow for Wing.
Reiner supplied a second to none bow, and made in the traditional way. There is a selection of colors too.
If you are interested in archery, and traditonal style bows, you will not be disappointed in this website.
