FURNITURE WAX & RELATED PRODUCTS
Nana's Pearls (shop 22) always has in stock a good selection from the extensive Howard Product range.
Howard Products were introduced in America in 1969 and innovative items such as Restor-A-Finish, Feed-N-Wax and Orange Oil quickly became established in the antiques trade. They came to Australia in 1991 and quickly gained great popularity and a reputation for being reliable.

Restor-A-Finish comes in eight popular wood tints and can easily remove heat rings, water marks and fine scratches from antique furniture without adversely affecting shellac, varnish, lacquer or patination. It is also an easy way to totally rejuvenate tired, dull and oxidised finishes.

Howard #0000 cabinetmakers grade steel wool is used to apply the Restor-A-Finish to problem surfaces; it will not scratch when used as directed.

Feed-N-Wax was the first stable liquid furniture wax on the market back in 1970. This gel-like product is a combination of beeswax, carnauba (the hardest wax obtainable) and orange oil. The beeswax softens the harder carnauba wax and the orange oil liquefies the mixture making it very easy to apply and buff to rich, low lustre finish. Howard Orange Oil was the very first orange oil made for furniture ever to be introduced back in 1970. Unlike a number of similar products that came later, Howard orange oil doesn’t significantly darken wood finishes and does not stay greasy. A light spray will clean away dust, dirt and build-up then polishes quickly to a lovely clean shine. The natural orange aroma lingers in a refreshing and not overpowering way.
