Bush walking can be dangerous and by engaging in the Orchid Tour and participating in the bush walking segment, you are exposed to certain risks and dangers such as

(a) that you may be injured, physically or mentally.
(b) that your equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed;
(c) that conditions in the bush may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability;
(d) that there may be no, or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport for you if you are injured;

You will therefore be asked to indemnify the organisers and agree:-

a) that you are participating in the Orchid Tour at your own risk AND,
b) that you are aware of the risks, dangers and obligations etc.

The Organisers of the WAOS Orchid Tours urge you to obtain your own personal Travel Insurance cover.

There will be a Four Day Tour of the southwest of WA and a One Day Tour in the bush areas around Perth in 2008. These tours brought rave reviews from those who were lucky enough to take part in them during the 2005 WAOS.

Once again, we are fortunate to have the services of Andrew Brown of the WA Dept of Environment & Conservation as the Tour Guide. The participants on our previous tours will be well aware of Andrews enormous expertise regarding WA's native orchids. Andrew tells us that the 2008 tour will cover the same general areas but will visit different sites.
