WHAT'S PLAYING - WHAT'S NOT.
V8 SUPERCARS 3: - DOES NOT WORK UNDER WINDOWS 7 - Due to Starforce disk copy protection, genuine purchasers of the game can no longer play it after upgrading. EPIC FAIL.
Also known promoted as Toca Racing in the
UK, was our favorite multiplayer racing sim.

More realistic than Toca3, but lacks Australian cars and mulitple race events.
Favourite: Demolition Derby with full damage & collision on! Mayhem, carnage and lots of fun.
CALL OF DUTY 2: - Favorite multiplayer shoot-em up for
close quarter combat. Set in WWII with some great maps and realistic
weapons.
CALL OF DUTY - BLACK OPS:

A lot more going on than COD2 and awesome graphics, yet runs well. Various rewards are given for kill streaks which can lead to MORE kill streaks etc. Upgrades are earned as you play the game, unfortunately this makes for a very uneven playing field for those starting out, with the perception of more experienced players cheating.
JUST CAUSE:

Not multiplayer, but currently my favourite game for kicking back, massive area to discover and plenty to shoot, though sometimes the controls can be a little clumsy. Quicker to get around in a Spidermanesque fashion using your grappling hook and parachute than most land based vehicles. No wheel support :(
BRINK:

Offers a different kind of gameplay, where your rewarded more for supporting your team mates and completing tasks than shooting other players. I like it - I can win :).
BATTLEFIELD 2:
-
Larger scale first person war simulator. Fly
planes, choppers, drive tanks and vehicles, much more vast and
interactive.
BATTLEFIELD 2 BAD COMPANY:
-
I only played this once, it ran like a dog! VERY hardware intesive resulting in low framerate and juttering even on a decent system. Also much higher ping rates on servers compared to COD.
Currently most agents are running graphics cards in the 6600 range which
restricts playing newer games like
CRYSIS.
After seeing a recent demo of this game, I'll likely be looking at
acquiring some new equipment soon!
