LOCATION
Grows along creek banks in loamy soil in China and North Vietnam.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
4-5 leaves up to 25cm in length and 3-4 cm in width. Plain green leaves.

FLOWER DESCRIPTION
INFLORESCENCE
Bears 1-2 flowers and stands erect at a height of 11.5cm.
DORSAL SEPAL
Elliptic to ovate dorsal hoods the pouch and reflexes its lateral  margins. White in colour.
VENTRAL SEPAL
Subcircular and obtuse to rounded at the apex.
PETALS
Broad petals curve forward. Pink at the base fading to white. Ovate to subcircular with obtuse to rounded apices.
LABELLUM
White lip spotted with creamy tan spots at the toe. Interior pigmented spots show through to the outer surface.

Spring and early Summer.

LOCATION
Inhabits limestone outcrops on cliffs from sea level to 50 m on the Malay Peninsula and Thailand.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
Leaves are yellowish green, 25 - 35 cm in length and 1.8 - 3 cm in width.

FLOWER DESCRIPTION
INFLORESCENCE
Solitary flower on a 15-18 cm peduncle.
DORSAL SEPAL
Ovate and elliptic and moderately keeled. Yellow bordered with white and boldly spotted centrally with raised blotches of maroon. Its lateral margins are slightly undulate and reflexed.
VENTRAL SEPAL
Yellowish green with green venation.
PETALS
Held nearly horizontally but curve foward around the centre of the pouch. Oblanceate and their margins are ciliate and undulate. Rich golden yellow to ochre. The mid-vein and its parallel veins form a reddish stripe. Maroon hairs adorn the petal surface proximally.
LABELLUM
Glossy golden tan with brown venation.

FLOWERING SEASON
Late Spring and early Summer.
