The last of Australia's Great War veterans have know pass beyond the veil. From that moment what was living memory became a distant history. The stories of the struggle that we now call the the Great War will sadly then only be found in text books and museams. Because the events and sacrifices of this period forged the Australian identity it is important for all of us to keep the memories and lessons of that time alive. In a small way the WAGWLHA intends to try and keep a bit of Australia's military history alive for the future .
