Since the FAWWA began their Writer In Residence Program in 1998, it has proven to be a valuable tool in achieving FAWWA’s ambition of supporting, promoting and advocating the needs and interests of writers. Residencies are designed with two primary objectives in mind; to provide writers with the time, environment and finance to develop their writing craft and to provide the opportunity for FAWWA members and the wider community to have access to emerging and established writers.

We have three residencies available for young, emerging and established writers.
