This
web page is about spending some quality time showing the new F800GS the
sites and tracks near Albany, Western Australia. So, out of the front
gate for the first
time on the shiny new bike, and into the countryside. Click on the
pictures (shot on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 compact camera) to see in
1000px size.
With
only 160 km on the clock, it was off the bitumen and onto the gravel
tracks towards Mutton Bird Beach, only 10 km from the front gate.
And
30 km east onto the beach at Nanarup, east of Albany.
Then
over to Denmark 50 kms west to enjoy the forest roads and tracks.
Next,
80 km north to the Stirling Ranges, and the little gravel track up Mt
Trio.
Back
slightly west the Cosy Corner-Perkins Beach track, to try a nice little
patch of sand as a taster, which
the GS handled very well.
Up
on Torbay Hill, there's a lovely dense patch of Karri with a damp,
windy track through it.
Within
sight of home, there's the windmills, which sound ominous on a windy
day.
And
once again 20 or so km east onto the tracks above the Gull Rock Road.
