St Hilda's believes, teaches and practises the authentic Christianity of the early Church, as expressed within the Anglican tradition. At present we are just a small congregation. But, by God's mercy, we hope to grow in grace and numbers and spread the good news of who Jesus is and what he has done for the human race.
Who is Jesus and what has he done?
One of the things he has done is to establish the Church. The Church is the "body of Christ", which means it is both the present extension of Jesus' ministry to humanity, and the means of union with Jesus and so with the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is why being a Christian is inseparable from being a member of the Church.
But how do we identify the Church?
Thank you for visiting our site, and please feel free to visit us on Sunday!
