Chris Stone, known internationally for his textile design and colour forecasting welcomes you to view 'Flowers' at the Washhouse Gallery. His first one-man show captures the fleeting beauty of the natural world. Flower paintings capture a variety of styles and techniques, juxtapositioning realistic and less detailed styles. Colour is richly applied in layers. Light and the use of chiaroscuro defines depth in these works. Stone combines natural as well as historical references to achieve what is essentually a 'Dutch master' style.
