Local Manager: The Local Manager (LM) is jointly responsible to the WASES Regional Officer and to the Town of Bassendean, and the unit membership for the efficient and effective management of the Unit. This responsibility includes all aspects of administration, training and operations. Participates in the Local Emergency Management Advisory Committee.

The LM attends various WASES, regional, State and local Government meetings, as well as maintaining contacts with local community groups

Some standards for the position include, but are not inclusive are:

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills,
  • Strategic Planning and problem solving abilities,
  • A broad knowledge of the WASES, the Unit and its role,
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Experience as a team member, including operational activity,
