The Training Manager consults with the Section Leaders and members to ensure development of an achievable and coherent program. They ensure that training is competency based and with in the standards set down by the WASES training section. Use of TRK’s and TRP’s where applicable. They must ensure accurate records are maintained, and advise of training opportunities available.

The Training Manager must have:

• Qualified as an instructor in one or more skill areas,
• Qualified as a Training Manager,
• Have a sound level of interpersonal and communication skills,
• A competent level of planning and executing training and exercise plans,
• Ability to present and impart knowledge and skills,
• Possess a broad knowledge of the WASES and the Unit and its role,
• Aptitude for management.
