James Frazer,

born 1885, Ballymyre, Armagh, Ireland, died 12 September, 1932, Booleroo Centre, South Australia. Married 22 February, 1893, South Australia, to Eliza Jane Hawthorne, born 10 June, 1871, Scott's Creek, South Australia, died 16 August, 1904, Willowie, South Australia.

Eliza Jane lost her life with a ruptured uterus, and Septicaemia set in (the invasion of pathological bacteria in the bloodstream.)

Married 7 June, 1905, Melrose, South Australia, to Sarah Preston Pitchers, born 7 October, 1866, Port Elliott, South Australia, died 10 May, 1951, Booleroo Centre, South Australia.

James Frazer lived in the CIVIL PARISH of Ballymyre, BARONY of Fews Upper, PLU of Newry, PROVENCE Ulster, COUNTY of Armagh, Property leased in Townlands of BALLINTEMPLE by Alexander Frazer, James Frazer and a John Frazer. William Hawthorne, Andrew Hawthorne, Thomas Hawthorne also leased properties in adjoining areas. The properties had a Marcus Synot as the Lessor. Ballymyre appears to be about 4 miles South West of Newtown /Hamilton. James arrived from Ireland on the "ROMA" in 1884,but in being transferred from the ship to shore off TOWNSVILLE Queensland, by a raft it capsized and he lost all of his possessions. After coming down to Adelaide he worked at Nairne where Alexander Hawthorne lived. He also moved up North to Booleroo Whim and worked for a Mr Botham for his keep only and no wages. It is recorded that both sides of James' parents were of Scottish origin.

Kenneth John Frazer,

born 4 February, 1931, Booleroo Centre, South Australia.Married 11 September, 1954, Margaret Jeanette Pine .

Born at Booleroo Centre 4/2/1931.Lived on farm at "Sleepy" Booleroo West until 1935.Moved to Melrose farm in 1936.The farmhouse is situated between the township and the old railway station on the Northern side of Melrose, going towards Wilmington. Some housing blocks were sold off the farm adjacent to Melrose township. Started school at the Melrose Primary School in 1937 and gained a scholarship in grade 7 in 1943.Mr Clifton was the Headmaster for the whole time. Started secondary school at Booleroo Centre in 1944.Achieved captain of the school cricket, tennis and football teams plus prefect in the 3rd year and head prefect in 4th year. Mr Sugg was the headmaster for the whole period. Gained the LEAVING certificate in 1947 and started the PHARMACY course at the Adelaide University in January 1948.The course was a 4 year apprenticeship system, and was apprenticed to Frank Moore of the M. C. Moore Pharmacies. Honours were gained in organic chemistry in 1949,and the course completed in1952.Became Manager of M. C. Moore pharmacy at Prospect immediately after qualifying, and later the Underdale Pharmacy, at which time was married to Margaret Pine and the first child, David, was born in 1955.An approach was made by another pharmacist (Clyde Trotter),to manage a newly opened pharmacy at 387 Payneham Rd., Payneham, which was accepted. In December 1959 a new pharmacy was opened at 418 Payneham Rd, GLYNDE as a FRAZER PHARMACY and was a successful business, being sold in March 1990.Before marriage he boarded with the Newingtons at 8 Allen Av., Brooklyn Park. After marriage the first accommodation was a flat on the Esplanade West Beach, and after about a year moved to a house at 12 Barker St., Brooklyn Park. In 1956 a housing trust purchase house was bought at 2 Hann St., GLYNDE. The next house was built at 91 Marian Rd., Payneham South in 1960.The next house was built at 40a Tusmore Av Tusmore in 1990.With wife Margaret a heavy investment in rental real estate was made from 1964,which grew considerably until sold in the 80's to purchase 3 Commercial properties to gain an income in retirement.
