About Us
Ulteria Motive was formed in 1999 by Luke Heinrich and Nick Stott. Based formerly in Perth, Western Australia, Nick has since taken residence in Bounemouth, UK whilst Luke remains in Perth. Due to modern technology, this has had little impact on their colaborative methods, making it an international partnership in crime. Dedicated to producing a variety of styles in the Drum n' Bass genre, they're main goals are directed towards producing music on vinyl aimed at the dance floor. They have an extensive range of influences, ranging from Congo Natty, Die, Krust, Dom & Roland, to LTJ Bukem and Goldie. They also listen to Gravediggaz, Wu Tang Clan, Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest and various other hip hop artists. So far the accomplishments of Ulteria Motive have been various radio appearances on RTRFM 92.1, coming first in a competition with the S.K.A.B Alliance studios in 2001, and in 2002 winning a dubplate for the track Kryptik 2002, in the BBC's 1xtra cutting room competition. Look out for releases from Ulteria Motive coming soon on Soundsdevious Records. In the future, we look to starting our own record label, U.M. Records, and signing the best up and coming talent from all over the world.
