Welcome to the Western Australia Branch
of the
Richard III Society
Originally named the Fellowship of the White Boar, the Society was founded in 1924 by S. Saxon Barton FSA (Scot), a Liverpool surgeon. With the advent of the Second World War, its activities declined, but it was reconstituted in 1956 with a wider membership. The name was changed to the Richard III Society in 1959, and in 1980 the honour of Royal patronage was bestowed by HRH The Duke of Gloucester.
