Yamaha's spirit of innovation and technological muscle have led to the advancement of motocross through a long list of better, more capable machines, and of course, with the dizzying thrill of race success.

Our R&D department loves chequered flags, and we've weve made a habit of collecting them lately, with our all-conquering YZ250 , and the amazing YZ400F , the first 4-stroke to win 500cc GP Motocross rounds and an AMA supercross round. But it didn't stop there.

Last year the YZF400F won the coveted AMA championship and here in Australia, The Thumper Nationals championship, while it's sibling the YZ250, claimed supercross championships in both the USA and Australia, as well as the Australian 250cc motocross championship.
