At 1602cc capacity, the Roadstar's throbbing, belt-driven, pushrod engine is a monstrously powerful merging of traditional engine design principles and up-to-the-minute technology.

Roadstar's long-stroke, 48-degree V-twin features Yamaha's high-tech cylinder plating, hydraulic valve lifters and forged lightweight pistons for effortless highway cruising.

The result is a pulsing, arm-stretching torque band from near-zero revolutions, an effect enhanced by the Yamaha developed Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and Mikuni carb with accelerator pump, heater and coasting enricher.

With its long and low chassis, large metal fenders, footboards and inch diameter handlebars, the Roadstar has a tough, imposing stature that accurately reflects its standing among big-bore cruisers.
