The Maranoa
was build at Swan Hill as a stern wheeler, and later converted to prop driven.
It is powered by a 4 cylinder Mazda diesel, which we run on used cooking oil. The
hull was made from a coal tender from a steam locomative engine, and is 45 feet long.
We have travelled most of the Murray from Goolwa to Yarrawonga, as well as some of the Darling,
Murrambidgee, Wakool and Edwards rivers.
On our travels we have sighted many large statainary engines. |
