The REDBACK range is our most popular model of high-performance kite. It has a huge wind range from 3 to 33 knots which makes it a must for the serious flier's first kite.

The kite was specifically designed to be relatively easy to fly yet still provide the very best in performance. It is very fast in forward speed and turning and is ideally suited for multiple stacking or for team flying. Many fliers start with one REDBACK and build up to a 3-stack for power-flying.

The REDBACK and kites similar in size are often referred to as three-quarter sized kites. This is due to its leading edge (the spar from nose to wingtip) measuring 3/4 of the length of the same spar in a HUNTSMAN or other 2.4m (8ft.) span kite which is known as a full-size kite. In areas of high winds such as Perth the 3/4 kite is a better first kite than its larger brother due to its wider wind range. A REDBACK will start to drag a 75kg adult along a beach in around 20 knots of wind, an average Perth sea breeze!
