Club Banner

Our Club Banner features the State Floral Emblem, the Tasmanian Blue Gum. Mrs Lynette Wilson, noted Tasmanian artist and wife of long-time member Rex Wilson, designed the banner.

Hobart, Australia's second oldest capital city, was founded in 1804.  It is the capital city of the island state of Tasmania and the greater Hobart area has a population of about 180,000.  Hobart lies along the foothills of Mount Wellington  and on the banks of the Derwent River estuary.  It abounds in charming historic buildings and beautiful scenary.
North Hobart is a commercial and residential district on the edge of the main city area. There are many successful small businesses, schools, sporting facilities, hotels, motels, a film society cinema and many delightful restaurants.
The Rotary Club of North Hobart was chartered in 1961 and has a small membership of about 25.
