Hello everyone: In the study of world SCADA systems I'm working on now, I'm including a recommendation to participate in discussion groups such as this one. Can anyone tell me of other discussion groups that SCADA or (or even process automation) professionals should know about? I'll be happy to make a complete list available to you all, when I finish the study. P.S: I'd also like to make available a list of the top ten market drivers and restraints for the SCADA industry worldwide, and get your opinions. Let me know if you're interested. Thank you, Anne-Marie Borbely Energy Industry Analyst Frost Sullivan, Inc. aborbely@frost.com

There is another SCADA mailing list. Don't remeber the address, but take a look in http://www.liszt.com/ and search for SCADA. And of course there's the newsgroup sci.engr.control. Good luck with your list and please post it when it's complete.

The two other discussion groups I'd suggest are: automation (Ken Crater's mailing list) which can be subscribed to by sending him email at ken@control.com and intech's mailing list which can be subscribed to by visiting www.isa.org and subscribing

If anyone is interested there is a mailing list on real time java. I think the joining instructions are Send a message to majordomo@iastate.edu with subscribe real-time-java in the body. If that doesn't work then email owner-real-time-java@iastate.edu and ask to be put on the list.
