Golden Girls 2008

Iona greeted a wonderful group of Golden Girls on the 11 September 2008 for a very special day at the College.  This years newcomers was the Class of 1958!

The Reunion began with the celebration of a special Mass in the Church, which was followed by morning tea in the Boarding House.  A tour through the College and visits to different classrooms introduced our special guests to many students, and before lunch was served, the drama and music department presented the Golden Girls with some surprises.

Silver Girls 2008

In June 2008 the College celebrated with the Class of 1983 their Silver Girls Reunion and it was great to get to know them again. So many memories, stories and friendships were talked about and again, it was a very happy occasion. To see photos from this event, please click here.

Other Reunions

November was a very active month for Reunions: We celebrated the class of 1968 with their 40 Years Reunions, the girls from 1978 came to celebrate 30 years and the class of 1988 returned after 20 years out of the College and also the class of 1998 returned after 10 Years out of Iona. Both Reunions, 20 and 10 Years out were celebrated as a family affair, so that we had the great opportunity top meet many of the next generation Iona students.
