What is The Sum Of The Parts?

The Sum of the Parts (music) is a Newcastle business which helps people in the Hunter play more music together. Mostly we assist people in groups, via ukulele orchestras (uketras), workplace choirs, as well as a number of musical groups. What we do is well encapsulated by a news story run by NBN news, which can be seen below.

Our objectives are to help people make music together in ways that are focused on:

  • enjoying and building a sense of community
  • empowering people to play
  • developing musical skills including an ear for music and for arranging
  • enjoying contemporary music.
