Ukulele Newsletters for the Lower Hunter
The Sum of the Parts puts out a regular newsletter containing
local news, potential workshops and relevant web links.
The first newsletter (named, funnily enough, 'Newsletter 1')
happened in November 2009. Newsletter 2 was
released in early January 2010. Newsletter 3 is
nominally April 1 2010.
Email lists
There is a local email list that you can join. This is a good
way to share with your fellow ukestrans about uke problems,
interesting things you have found, news about upcoming events
etc. See right hand side for more info.
Media articles
The local media has been very very helpful to getting the
news out of the ukulele revolution in the Hunter (and
elsewhere!).
The Newcastle Post in particular has written a couple of
articles about Newcastle's Ukestras, with thanks to reporter
Michael Blaxland.

TV Reports are pretty rare. The NBNTV News report in May 2010
featured a very eloquent Betty & Ted from the Ukastle
Ukestra.
Without these articles, interviews and other acts of publicity, the Ukestra phenomenon wouldn't be where it is today.
