Damn Website!

My bloody website is down. KeyDesignz I don't know why, I have noticed it being slow for the last few days and now I can't connect to it at all. Need to send an email to the hosting provider and get it sorted. That is about all for my web bitching. My brother is coming to visit us for a few days, so that should be all good, we are going to party tomorrow night, should be a hoot. Don't think my wife will up for it, she has to look after the little man. Plus she won't be up for any drinking games.

I need to get my marking finished and burn this disc. Burning a copy of a certain movie which is about superheroes in 3D. Heh Heh.

Anyways, I recently saw Revenge of the Sith, which was wicked, I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. I will be buying my copy.

I need to get a hold of a copy of Matt Parker and Trey Stone's great film with puppets entitled Team America. What a freakin' funny movie. Need my wife to see it and see if she appreciates it as much as me.

I keep using the same damn space, I really need to move this fucking blog. I got a phone call the other day to go to the state of origin, which was wicked because it was my first state of origin and Queensland won! What a clincher in the end, fuck me drunk. 19 to queensland shortly in the second half. NSW had not even had one point scored. Then Queensland let up their defence. NSW went through to score shortly after Queensland scored and then again and then again. Shit the score got to 20 NSW and 19 Queensland. I thought we were screwed. Then a field goal with only 2 minutes left in the game evened up the score. So it was a tie breaker and first team to score won the game. Then a costly pass from Brett Kormorly cost NSW the game and victory to Queensland. Mind you NSW played well when they did get their shit together, so Queensland had better have their wits about them if they want to win the next game. Would be better they lost and fought it out in the final game. I love the third game clinchers. Well what else have I been up to. I got a part time job at a printers, doing all kinds of design, so that is cool. doing two days a week there and the other 3 days at Tafe. I need to sink some time into Tafe soon, as I have a lot of catching up to do.

The video I shot over the weekend was one of tears and triumph, but we eventually got the shots we needed except for one. So it didn't turn out the way I initially planned, but hopefully it will come together in the editing. Which reminds me, I have ordered a new PowerMac G5 and this trusty little iMac will be sold on Ebay. Maybe through my club, but I am hoping to get what I want for it.

Not much to tell...

Not much to tell, except that I have been speaking with a lot of people lately that seem to be taken in by the Microsoft spell. I hate it when people are so quick to judge another platform, saying they hate Mac, when they haven't even used it. The reason they say that, is because it is different to the Microcrappy experience. These people complain to me that their system got caught with a virus or some sort of unexplainable problem which requires a few well paid hours from a computer technician to sort out. I have had to fix many a windows issue or hardware malfunction on many of my friends PC's. Why bother with it? I would just get a mac. But then again I am biased in my opinion. Only $800 now for a machine that is superior in so many ways. Which reminds me, I need to get back to doing what I need to do. Bye all.

Been a while

Hi all, it has been a while since my last confession... I was reading some interesting articles today and last night, one is from the rantings of the Linspire founder Michael Robertson. On the whole I agree with what he is saying, he was dogging apple's iTunes about the music ownership rights in iTunes, having restrictions in place for the copying of the music. I think there has to be restrictions, otherwise the artists will suffer. I think Michael was wrong in his statement of ownership, crapping on about how he thinks Microsoft and Apple will control what you listen to and what games you play. Everything is driven by a market, and obviously Apple and Microsoft have tapped into what the market wants. Interestingly enough, the Linspire Lsongs looks like a close cousin of iTunes. Hmm, maybe Michael couldn't come up with decent ideas of his own, even Microsoft's music player dosen't resemble iTunes. Oh and the Linspire Photo software it comes with? Come on Michael, maybe you should be turning over the major software vendors to make software for Linux and then we might be tempted. It is all about the software and if that means we give up some of our freedom in the process, most people are happy to live by that. You don't think that every other form of product and advertising dosen't steer your directions in one way or another? Of course it does. So the ramblings of a Software company CEO, will be lost in cyberspace and people will keep on doing what they always did do.

I love my iPod, iTunes is simply without comparison and being in Australia I can't even buy from the iTunes store yet. So peer to peer file sharing is great. By the way I ran Linspire once on my PC and it seems you need at least a pentium IV to run it. It actually ran slower than Windows XP Pro. What a waste of time that was. I have run the open source Red Hat Linux Fedora 10, which was hell good, except for the fact it is consistently hard to get anything decent in the range of commercial software to run on it, but then I suppose it defeats the purpose of what is all good and free in society.

I understand the thoughts behind Linux users, most of them being programmers, but it is still not prime time for the majority of basic users, where is where Apple comes in. Oh and Michael takes a jab at saying that Apple is expensive? I don't think so, a few years back yes, but the top machine is still cheaper than a similarly configured PC. I will admit genuine Apple ram and other parts are expensive, but I have a choice as to what harddrive I use or brand of ram, so the cost is offset. I think you are rambling Michael, you need to get a grip. For those of you who would like to see the screen shot of Lsongs (even the name is similar to iTunes) here it is.

Damn Trackbacks!

I bloody well fixed the trackbacks and they are like a virus, they are not going away, I told my blog not to send emails to me, and not send trackback pings, but it seems to be doing the same thing again, and not working at all. I don't know what is going on, I give up. If anyone knows of a better system than Movable Type, let me know and comment on this entry. I haven't really tried much else except for blogger.com. I want to have my own independant blog.

Something extremely cool.

I am thinking of getting a .mac membership and using a third party tool to add entries and customise the look and feel of the site. That way it would be the least hassle and the best system. I still can't login to this stupid blog with anything else bar Firefox. At least it gets me in.

I reckon there must be so many stupid people in the world, with no tact for anything. My wife goes to church today, and some stupid woman goes, what a cute little baby girl. She needs a smack in the head. It's a boy stupid, at least that was what my wife was thinking. She told this stupid woman that the baby was a boy, and it was indicated by the little suite he has on, it is in the colour of blue. HELLO? Even if you had doubts, be a little observant. My boy is a huge baby, and generally bigger than most baby girls would be at his age, dressed in blue and he looks like a strapping baby boy. She said she thought it was because of his hair. How stupid is that frigging comment. Grow a brain you stupid bitch, I hope you read this!!

Sorry, getting carried away, I am just offended that she would think that. Dopey Cow. Needs taken out to pasture and shot. I wish we would treat humans that way, maybe the population of the world would not be so bad, if you are stupid, ugly or just politically incorrect, you will be shot on sight. Totally not serious about this issue, but hey drop me a line if that is your thing to argue about this trivial blog entry. I love a good argument, bring it on!!!

Still having troubles

Well the whole comment spam thing is sorted, but the damn trackback pings are a waste of time, and I have tried to fix this, but it seems as though I keep getting them. I tried following some details about how to change this, but it doesn't seem to be working at all. I still think I will move this damn blog. Any suggestions, put a comment forward.

Still getting blog spam

Well it seems as though the blog spam is still hitting in, and causing me grief. I have to come in and delete all the crap all the time. But thankfully no comment spam, seem to have that one under control. But please feel free to comment, I want you add your thoughts, but you will need to login using your key. Other than that, once approved, you should be able to comment on the site. I love the way my site looks now, very pleased with it, although the comment templates need to be changed, they are spitting up some awful looking pages. These people I am dealing with keep changing the goal posts, and it is shitting me, so I am going to do up an invoice and charge them more money. I should have had them sign something in the first place. Then I wouldn't be in this mess.
Oh well, only myself to blame.

Stuff

I am working on this site at the moment which you can find the beta version residing at Pat Edgar Education Consultancy. It has been a trial and tribulation to get this thing off the ground all the while trying to extrapolate money from the rather squeezed wallets of the clients. I need to get them thinking about paying me on a regular basis for updates to their site. They wanted to do it all themselves, but once I quoted on that, they freaked out. I told them PHP and MySQL programming doesn't come cheap. But what do you do? Make the site static utilising a nice cascading style sheet to control all the layout. In regards to my blog, it seems like I am not getting bombarded with shit now that I changed some settings on the site, and reworked the layout.

By the way, just for something totally original (not) I think this chick rocks, she is like the hottest babe out. I love her curves, those tits are to die for... sorry just had to pick my tongue back up and shove it into my mouth, ummm, naked...



Well that is all fun, I am still using Safari to blog with, I really need to use another browser but I am a creature of habit.

Seems to be working

My blog seems to be working as of lately, maybe it will continue to do so. I still can't figure out how to work any plugins. From information that I have gathered, It seems to be a link on the main menu of movable type, but mine does not seem to be there. I really want to back up this blog and move it to another server. I want to tear this one down. It seems I need to update the commenting templates, as they now look terrible when someone comments on the site. This needs to be fixed.
Other than that, it is all working along very well. I still need to fix the problems with spam from trackbacks, but hopefully I have sorted that now, I have just disabled it altogether. I now need people to be registered with typekey to comment on my site, which is a pain, but it stops a lot of spam (hopefully) and it should work out fine.

I don't think I will use Safari for Blogging

I don't think Safari works very well as a platform for blogging. I have changed the look and feel of the site now, hope you like it better than the previous design. I am using Netscape to write this, I could have used Firefox, but Netscape seems to handle everything quite well. It handles entering text better, firefox seems to 'lose' the text in mid type. It also seems to be slow to update on the page as you type, which is quite annoying. In Safari on the other hand, I don't get the cool icons to make the text bold or italic or underlined or have the luxury of throwing in a link or two without typing the code by hand. In fact Safari is rather plain, and not easy to work with. It generally has massive problems trying to delete spam comments and trackback pings, so it is problematic from a usability perspective, not just an asthetic outlook. Mind you, one thing Safari does do well is to check the spelling as you type, which Netscape does not seem to be able to do at all. Oh well, one half dozen one way and a half dozen the other.

I think I will be using Netscape for Blogging from now on, although I still haven't tried Camino or Mozilla, so either of those may be the key as well. I will be able to add more entries if I can get this blog to stop screwing up and blocking me from gaining access.

I will publish this and add some more details about other stuff later.

Holy Crap!!!!

Shit I managed to login to this thing for once. I got pulled up by the cops today because I failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, fuckers gave me a 135 dollar ticket. Pricks. I hate the pigs, don't they have anything better to do besides act like a bunch of cunts. It was a fucking curry muncher who gave me the ticket, I should have kicked his ass back to India, muther fucker.

As you can see I am distressed about this whole situation. BASTARDS!!!

I can't configure this plugin

This shits me. I can't configure any plugins because the configure active plugins section is rooted, it doesn't show up on the main page after login. Why is Movable Type so bloody hard. Damn it, I will need to search around for a fix, I don't know why this is rooted.

Again, my mt.cgi file is fucked, and I can't login except with the illustrious Firefox. I don't know why that is, and I also don't know why it is that when I type in an entry in firefox, it seems to lose the end of the line. Ultra Wierd. You wouldn't understand unless you have a similar system. Well on the good day that my login works, I might be able to configure this blog so that I can save it all, and move it to my new server, which is setup and running. I got the email setup going, and now I just need to fix that on the PC to recieve emails as well, and also on my wife's account on this machine. So I will never be without a machine or email access. At least if I can help it. Well I guess I better call work since it is February almost. I don't think I will be going back there, they don't seem to be able to sport me any work. Well I need to get busy not only trying to move this shitty blog, but also trying to setup my site. Want to know what it is? Can't say just yet. Have to wait until I have time to launch it properly.

Looking for work sucks

I hate this shit. I am currently unemployed and looking for work on a full time basis, and getting more desperate by the minute. I send people my resume and cover letter, and they basically tell you very facetiously that they would like to keep you either on their database or your resume in their files. Just on the off chance that they might consider you for another position. Like hell, they probably use old resumes for toilet paper when they run out, and couldn't be bothered getting off their arses to get supplies. I am qualified for this, you would think that having a fucking degree would mean something, I can't seem to land one fucking INTERVIEW!! I have got a fair bit of experience too, but hey that mustn't count for anything either. I had a response to one job I applied for almost straight away, which was another keep you on our database, like as if they try and dangle a carrot in front of you for no apparent reason. Well business cards will be getting printed up soon, and then I will get my name out there hopefully.
Got to go, its late and I need some sleep, even though sleep has been non-existent for a while now.
Yes I know, boo hoo, I am a whinging terd. Get over it you would say... Maybe if someone reads this blerb, they can give me a job...
