This was our first season of monday night indoor cricket but we knew that the monday night competition was weaker than on wednesday nights. We had a squad of 10 players this season but everyone got a game each week because we were playing on two nights. The Routers (not the strong Wednesday night Routers) gave us one close game and the Boonys were near us on a couple of occasions but we managed to win every game for the season reasonably comfortably. Consequently we finished way on top of the ladder with the Boonys finishing in second spot, followed by the Routers and then the Blumpkins.
We defeated the Boonys by about 40 runs in the second semi-final and as expected they won their preliminary final so that they met us again in the grand final. The Boonys sent us into bat in the grand final and we didn't impress as much as we could have, but still came out on 89 which we were quite pleased with. We then fired up in the field and took plenty of wickets on our way to keeping the Boonys to a lack lustre 13 runs.
So we ended up winning every game for the whole season and took out the title as well. Corteez #3 was the player of the grand final while Browny #2 won the best & fairest for the season.
