Thursday Div 1 (2008)

It was a long season but it started with a big win over Eye of Tiger - one outgoing skipper Jeffro#21 deserved. As the season rolled on with Chenzo#23 at the helm for the first time, we saw some tense moments with a little Blinders player (probably because of they didn't like being routed for -52) and we heard that the Killer Pythons, aka soft snakes, refused to play any matches against us (probably because of this.) There was also a very ugly scorecard after we were fixtured to play the best division 2 team - see this. We managed to get through the regular season undefeated, won our semi final and faced Field First in the grand final.

Field First had stretched us a couple of times throughout the season and we realised that if we weren't on our game they could beat us. They indeed did Field First and Sultans posted a competitive 96 runs. Then we fielded well and so the premiership and a website scorecard was all ours. Congrats to Benzo#22 for player of the grand final and Browny#2 for player of the season.
