Faerie Dancer

The beauty and grace of Faerie dance is legend. They dance alone or in groups called "Faerie rings". As I drew this picture I imagined her leading the dance from the centre of the Faerie ring. This picture is one I was and am quite proud of. If ever I try my hand at painting in oil this may be one of my first subjects. Incidently the wings are those of a large, green, South American butterfly, the name of which I have completely forgotten.
