Yabasic Programming Posting Guide

Conduct	When you post in the Yabasic Community, please be respectful of other people's feelings and understand that sometimes it is difficult to interpret the true meaning of a written word. We have a clean board which means no swearing or flaming or links to sites that contain offensive material. Be nice to people and you'll be treated the same way.
Newbies	We do not consider any newbie questions to be dumb! Please welcome new people to the board - everyone needs to start somewhere and as the new people are our future they should be treated with patience, respect and kindness.
Illegal Stuff	Please remember we have members of all ages on this board. We don't want links to adult sites or any messages of a pornographic nature. Also some more adult topics such as drugs or sex etc. are a bad idea - please try and avoid them. Do not post copyrighted material. Any hint of piracy on this board will be removed. This includes links to sites that refer to copyright circumvention (mod chips). Ezboard have a policy of closing forums with illegal content, we don't want this to happen to our board. Please bear this in mind before you post anything that might contravene the EzBoard guidelines.
Sigs and Avatars	If you must use a graphic sig, in the interests of speedy loading, please keep it small. Sigs that stretch the tables are not allowed. If you have a link in your sig, please make sure it points to somewhere suitable. Try to avoid linking to sites that have lots of advertising popups, particularly those that use Adware such as Gator. If you have an HTML sig, please change it to EzCodes before you post. You can find out about EzCodes here. If you have an avatar, please make sure it is suitable for the forum.
Submissions	We welcome any code submissions! Please do not unfairly criticise other peoples' submissions to the board - everyone has to start somewhere. Feel free to post your code on the board or send it here.
Mod Bashing	The moderator team is here to ensure that the board runs smoothly, we will move/edit/delete posts as necessary. Wherever possible we will drop a post saying where your topic was moved if it was in the wrong forum. If your post contains vulgarity or other information contravening these or EzBoard's guidelines then the content will be edited. If you are unsure why an action was carried out by a member of the mod team, please remember that we are only human and we are doing our best. A polite email to any of the mod team will get you an answer.
Spam	We have a spam forum, please do your best to keep the other forums on-topic. Please don't post code in the spam forum and please don't post spam in any of the code forums. If your post causes a thread to go off topic it will be deleted or split up. It's best to create a new topic.
Scams	People doing this will be immediately removed. We are not eBay! We pay for the privilige of not having ads on our board so it's really annoying when people put thier scams on the forum because it costs us money. Please don't do it. This applies to anything like pyramid schemes, chain letters and advert posts.
Code Help Forums	If there is any confusion as to where you should be posting your question, please read the brief introductions in the help forums. If you post in the wrong forum we'll move it to the correct one for you.
Chat Room	The filters don't work in the chat room, but we can moderate the chat room and remove disruptive people. The same rules apply there as the rest of the board so please keep it clean and good natured. The chat is enabled every Sunday for that day only.
MSN Etc	Please don't advertise your personal details on these forums. Also posts that refer to MSN, ICQ, AIM etc. conversations are frustrating and boring and they will be pruned. Posting topics that refer to online conversations can deprive the board of useful code topics.
Banning	This is a last resort, be nice and don't join the few people that have been banned from here as we don't revoke our bans.
These Guidelines	"Guideline" is the operative word, that's all they are. Please use your common sense when posting to these boards, that way it can remain fun for everybody.
